The Painting Lessons

To sum up a whole subject into a few words is generally not an easy task to accomplish, but I am actually very sure about this, painting is all about Imagination. Its all about how you think as well as WHAT you think.

Some ofthe artists I see today are engrossed in painting all kinds of designs which have little to no resemblance to anything in the real world, what I call this is “An Artist’s world”. Its a creative place where only the artist can venture at.

Some Artists of course make real life depictions, for example a scenery, a waterfall, birds, women etc. are the most common real life depictions by an artist, we could say such an artist would be called “A Depictor”, its not a real word but nevertheless it isnt wrong either. A depictor usually does stuff like paint whatever he sees, or paint whatever he sees and deems worthy enough for a mention in the canvas.

While traditionally Depictors have enjoyed excellent success, lately it seems that the “outer world” (no offence) kind have been leaping forward here. Leading painters today concentrate more on modern art or partially real depictions of life and they are successful!

I personally am a Depictor, and my reason to justify it is that, through depictions, a person could feel more close to life, nature and surroundings. It makes a person feel fresh and happy, and drives him or her into a wave of optimism towards life and such.

Although I do not intend to mean here that Modern Artists are any wrong, in fact modern art is also an excellent way of depicting art BUT here is how things work out:

I am sure a lot of people would say here that Depiction Art is frankly of no use now because of the fact that photography has been invented already and that Depictionists are no longer needed. But this is wrong, you know what people, painting and photography can never EVER be the same, a painting is a different dimension altogether.

If I today depict the Niagra Falls in a a painting you couldn’t compare that with a photograph of the Niagra falls now can you. Depiction Painting is not about making a thing look as real as it can in a painting, its about making a real life depiction look as artistic as possible.
